By using the website at richmondheavydutytowing.com, requesting a quote, or using the services provided by Richmond Heavy Duty Towing, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of our website and services.
Richmond Heavy Duty Towing provides towing and recovery services, including but not limited to heavy duty towing, accident recovery, wrecker service, truck towing, commercial towing, emergency towing, flatbed towing, 24 hour towing, winch out service, fleet towing, heavy equipment and machinery towing, roadside assistance, long haul towing, police towing, vehicle storage, and medium duty towing. Services are provided throughout Richmond, CA and the surrounding East Bay and North Bay communities.
Pricing for towing and recovery services is based on several factors, including the type of service, the distance traveled, the complexity of the recovery, the size and weight of the vehicle, and the time of day. Estimates provided by phone or online are not binding quotes - they are approximate costs based on the information provided at the time.
Towing and storage rates for services ordered by law enforcement or other government agencies are subject to applicable state and local rate caps. For consensual tows arranged directly with customers, pricing is determined at the time the service is requested and may be subject to change based on conditions at the scene.
Final charges are determined when the service is complete. By authorizing a tow or recovery, you agree to pay all applicable charges, including towing fees, storage fees if applicable, and any additional charges related to the complexity of the recovery or special equipment required.
Service availability is subject to equipment and personnel availability at the time of the request. For emergency towing and recovery, we dispatch as quickly as conditions and distance allow. For scheduled services, we will confirm a time window with you before dispatch.
If you need to cancel a service, contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made after our equipment is already dispatched to your location may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover dispatch and travel costs.
Payment is due at the time of service or at the time the vehicle is released from storage, depending on the circumstances. We accept cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment as posted at the time of service. For fleet or commercial accounts, payment terms may be arranged in advance through a written agreement.
For vehicles towed to a storage facility, daily storage fees will accrue until the vehicle is retrieved. You are responsible for all storage fees accrued during the period your vehicle is in storage. Storage rates are regulated by California law and will be disclosed at the time of the tow.
We take reasonable care in performing all towing and recovery services. However, towing and recovery by their nature involve moving damaged, disabled, or compromised vehicles, and there is inherent risk of additional damage during the process, especially in complex recoveries such as rollovers, vehicles stuck in difficult terrain, or vehicles with pre-existing damage from a collision.
Richmond Heavy Duty Towing and its operators are not liable for damage to a vehicle that occurs during a proper and careful towing or recovery operation when such damage is the result of the vehicle's pre-existing condition or the circumstances that necessitated the tow. We carry commercial liability insurance as required by California law.
In no event shall Richmond Heavy Duty Towing be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of business, or delays caused by road conditions, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control.
Our services are provided on an as-is basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the outcome of any towing or recovery operation. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all damage to a vehicle can be avoided during recovery operations, particularly in accident recovery or rollover situations.
To retrieve a vehicle from our storage facility or the storage facility of a subcontractor, you must provide proof of ownership, valid identification, and payment for all outstanding charges, including towing and storage fees. For vehicles towed at the request of a law enforcement agency, you may also be required to provide a release document from that agency before the vehicle can be released to you.
Storage fees accrue daily and will continue until the vehicle is retrieved or other arrangements are made. California law sets limits on storage fees for certain types of tows. We will disclose the applicable storage rate at the time of the tow.
If you have a dispute regarding our services or charges, contact us in writing at hi@richmondheavydutytowing.com or call us at (510) 660-6519. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue directly with you.
If we are unable to resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any legal action arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. You waive any objection to venue in those courts.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved under California law.
